Whidbey Island

My husband and I went away this last weekend to Whidbey Island. I have been there before, but it had been quite a few years. I really forgot how beautiful it is there. We went to go salmon fishing with some of our favorite friends, and while we didn't catch any fish, I did manage to catch a few great shots.

I didn't take too many pictures while fishing. I was focused and determined to reel in a salmon. I did, however, snap a few shots while exploring Coupeville later that day before dinner. I also convinced my husband that it would be worth it to wake up early for the sunrise the next morning and take a few pictures on our drive back home.

It's so nice to be able to escape the city and get away for the weekend. Whidbey Island is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to go back...maybe next time I'll catch some fish!
